52. celtis Laicharting  in Fuessly, 1782 (Papilio). Archiv Insektengeschichte, 2: 1; Tab. 8, fig. 1 – 3. TL: Italy : “ Bolzano ”. Had been originally described as a good species.

·       celtis Laicharting in Fuessly, 1782 (Papilio). D: Caucasus; Transcaucasus; Kopet-Dagh; Crimea .

·       platooni  Korb 2005 (Libythea) (fig. 5). Is described here as a subspecies of celtis.

Description. Forewing length 20 – 25 mm . Upperside: brown with wide ochreous spots; costal border of forewing with whitish spot. Underside: brown grey with pattern as a venation of trees.

Diagnose. Differs from ssp. celtis by the form of ochreous spots on the upper surface of wings and by the darker colouration of wing underside.

Type material. Holotype male, 22.06.1991, Transili Alatau Mts., Edelvejs [турбаза Эдельвейс], E.Prokofieva leg., in coll. of the Zoological Institute in St.Petersbourg. Paratypes: 2 males, 1 female, 26.06.1993, Kirghiz Mts., Chon-Kuurchak valley, 2000 m , S.Korb leg., in the author’s collection.
